In December, 2022, the Gesu Community continued its 16-year tradition of Service Day. Over 600 volunteers worked on 40 different projects throughout Northeast Ohio. Service Day is an opportunity for Gesu Parishioners to serve our local community and share the love of God through practical acts of kindness. Our hope is that through Service Day volunteering enhances our mission throughout the year. Simple acts of selfless love open our hearts to Jesus, and together we make a difference.
On Saturday, June 3, 2023, Gesu will be expanding its mission with a Summer Service Day!
We plan to send 100 plus enthusiastic volunteers out to seven partner agencies:
Boys Hope Girls Hope, Cleveland Furniture Bank, Habitat for Humanity, L'Arche Cleveland, Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry Men's Shelter, Medwish and Zelie's Home.
What better way to kick off the first day of summer vacation for our Gesu School families! This is a great opportunity to give back to our community, celebrate our legacy of shared service, and even earn service hours.
Because this is a "scaled down" Service Day you are able to select your site when you register.
