What can I expect?

In total, a Mass at Church of the Gesu is about 60 minutes in length. It is a traditional Catholic Liturgy that any Catholic would be familiar with. If you are not Catholic and have never been to Mass, this Order of Mass will help you become more familiar with what you will see and hear.

Where do my children go?

Your children are welcome to join you for Mass, and we have a crying room in the back of the church as well. Remember that the way we welcome children in church directly affects the way they respond to Church, to God, and to Christ. Let them know that they are at home in this Liturgical gathering! As St. Teresa of Calcutta once said, "How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers."

Am I expected to put money in the offering?

As good Catholics, we are blessed and encouraged to share our blessings and give back to God in whatever ways we can.

Is Church of the Gesu accessible for those with disabilities?

Gesu is fully wheelchair accessible, with ramps and wheelchair seating. We also have a loop system for anyone who may be hearing impaired. A wheelchair is available for anyone who may need it in the “Bride’s Room,” located near the Thompson lot entrance of the church. Simply ask an usher for assistance.
