GESU CATHOLIC SCHOOL
Gesu Catholic School is an important ministry of the Church of the Gesu. The school provides a Christ-centered education with an emphasis on Jesuit ideals and traditions.
Gesu Catholic School is dedicated to providing a rich and diverse curriculum that is integrated with Catholic faith values. Our school is proud to be recognized locally and nationally as a school with strong standards for academic excellence. Students are guided and supported to reach their own academic goals and discover new strengths and interests. The school encourages an inquiry-based learning environment that inspires creativity and innovation. Our collaboration with parents, parishioners and a dedicated faculty and staff helps to create a school culture that develops and strengthens a deeper faith and passion for learning in each individual student.
STREAM EDUCATION AT GESU CATHOLIC SCHOOL
Recent renovations to the school have created exciting new learning spaces which have been designed to engages students of all ages in areas such as robotics, programming, technical design, architecture and project based learning. The Gesu Education Center for STREAM Learning includes three unique makerspace areas which give students an opportunity to develop an understanding of the design process as they explore, create and collaborate on grade level projects, as well as their own special interests. The Center also includes an Art Studio on the lower level, a 2nd floor science lab and a beautiful Learning Commons and Library. These innovative renovations make it possible for Gesu School to prepare students for a 21st century world with an increased focus on science, technology, religion, engineering, arts and math.
The Gesu Preschool for children ages 3-5 provides a nurturing, faith-based environment where learning occurs through “hands on” exploration and interaction. Multisensory activities enhance growth in all developmental domains, encourage natural curiosity and foster a joy of learning. A Preschool Information Night is held in mid-January, followed by registration for the next school year. To learn more, email Debbie Lautenbach, Preschool Director.
