Expanding Gesu's Mission with our 3rd ANNUAL SUMMER SERVICE DAY!
The Gesu Community has an 18-year tradition of volunteering for Service Day right before Christmas. Over 600 volunteers work on 35+ different projects throughout Northeast Ohio. Service Day is an opportunity for Gesu Parishioners to serve our local community and share the love of God through practical acts of kindness. Our hope is that through Service Day, volunteering enhances our mission throughout the year. Simple acts of selfless love open our hearts to Jesus, and together we make a difference. Gesu has expanded this mission with our 3rd Annual Summer Service Day on Saturday, June 7! We plan to send 100 enthusiastic volunteers out to seven partner agencies:
Boys Hope Girls Hope
Cleveland Furniture Bank
Habitat for Humanity
L'Arche Cleveland
2100 Lakeside Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry Men's Shelter
Medwish
Zelie's Home
What a great way to kick off summer vacation for our Gesu School families! This is a great opportunity to give back to our community, celebrate our legacy of shared service, and even earn service hours.
Because this is a "scaled down" Service Day you are able to select your site when you register. Contact Amy Zucca with any questions.
