John O’Donohue’s Celtic Vision

Explore wisdom, poetry & blessings of Celtic spirituality, presented by Wayne Simsic, M.A.

Gesu is hosting the following course, which is being offered by the Cleveland Ecumenical Institute for Religious Studies.

In his classic work, Anam Cara, (Gaelic for “soul friend”), John O’Donohue invites us into a place in the soul where the distance between self and the eternal melt away. He gathers together the ancient wisdom, poetry and blessings of Celtic spirituality to introduce us to the often neglected beauty of our own inner landscape. This course will explore the text, Anam Cara, as it draws us reverently toward the soul in all things and a homecoming for the human heart’s longing.

Whether you have read the text or not, this course will be an opportunity to renew an inner friendship that embraces nature, divinity and the depths of the human soul. (Please purchase the book, Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom, for the course.)

The course will take place Mondays, October 10, 17 & 24 and Tuesday, November 1 from 7:00-9:00 pm in the Sacred Heart Room of Gesu's Pastoral Center.

The course is $80 (discount is available through the registration website).
