Dear Gesu Community,
I am pleased to announce that Gesu Parish will be participating in the Heart of the Shepherd campaign for the Diocese of Cleveland. This Diocesan-wide campaign seeks to raise funds to complete essential renovations to Borromeo and Saint Mary Seminaries, relieve the weight of financial burdens of the newly ordained, and provide proper care of those who have dedicated their lives to shepherding our faith by fully funding the Clergy Pension Fund. Even in my own discernment for priesthood, I considered joining the seminary in Cleveland. It was clear to me then, as it is now, how important the formation of a priest is. Although Gesu is a Jesuit parish and does not have diocesan priests here on campus, we are a part of the Diocese of Cleveland as a whole and want to support vocations and those who devote their lives to serving the Church. Let us prayerfully consider a donation to this Heart of a Shepherd campaign and respond generously as a Gesu Community.
We are pleased to welcome Fr. Mark Latcovich, Rector of the Borromeo Seminary and St. Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology, and seminarians to celebrate Mass with us on the weekend of May 14-15. Envelopes for your contributions can be found in the church pews and narthex on the weekends of May 14th and May 21st. Feel free to drop them in the collection basket during Mass or bring them to the Parish Office. Or to make a contribution online, please click below.
