March 8 bulletin
Perhaps we can apply some words in today’s Gospel to our daily living. Imagine yourself up on that high mountain with Peter, James, and John. You witness Jesus transfigured. You see Moses and Elijah appear and converse with him. You hear Peter say to Jesus: “Lord, it is good that we are here.” A voice resounds from a bright cloud: “This is my beloved Son...listen to him.” You and the other disciples are understandably fearful and fall to the ground. Jesus comes to you and touches you, speaking the words “Rise, and do not be afraid.” How awesome this whole experience! You’ve accompanied the disciples to see Jesus revealed in all his divine glory. You’ve heard the voice of the Father telling your heart to listen to the Son of God, Jesus, transfigured in his humanity. Think about finding more prayer time this Lent, just listening to God speaking to your heart, bringing you love and peace.
