Fr. Michael Vincent has been appointed an Associate Pastor of Gesu Parish effective July 2011. Father Vincent comes to Gesu after more than 28 years as a high school teacher. Most recently he served as an instructor of Latin and English at St. Ignatius High School for 19 years. Fr. Vincent is a native of Detroit and graduated from the University of Detroit Jesuit High School. He received an A.B. Degree from Georgetown University and a M. Div. and Th.M. in Theology from the Weston Jesuit School of Theology. Throughout his teaching years, Fr. Vincent has served as a weekend assistant at many parishes including Gesu and is looking forward to participating in parish life full time at Gesu as an Associate Pastor. He has keen interests in Scripture, Scriptural Languages, Shakespearean Drama and 20th Century European History, as well as cooking.
