Fr. Lorn Snow, S.J., originally from Port
Henry, New York, was ordained a Jesuit in 1999. He holds degrees
in: Philosophy from Wadhams Hall College in Ogdensburg, New
York, Masters in Human Services from John Carroll University,
and Masters of Divinity in Theology from Weston School of Theology
in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has worked in the hospice ministry
in Cleveland and Manhattan, led youth pilgrimages to the Shrine
of Martyrs in Midland, Ontario, and taught at the University
of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy.
Fr. Snow came to Gesu as an Associate Pastor in September, 1999.
He initiated the Honduras Mission here at Gesu, leading teams
of parishioners to Nuevo Paraiso and Montana de Luz twice a year.
He reactivated the 50+ Club by holding monthly gatherings including
Mass and dinners. He has led the group on various trips in the
U.S. and Canada. The 50+ Club has grown to over 100 people in
its membership.
Fr. Snow encourages service to others by implementing several
programs through the Social Concerns Commission, including a
parish-wide Service Day in which over 600 parishioners were involved.
He is very active in the Youth Ministry at Gesu, and has held
retreats for various age groups through out the parish.
