Pilgrimage to Rome hosted by Fr. Lorn Snow, S.J. and the Gesu Community December 30, 2010 to January 6, 2011
Dear Friends,
An exciting journey to the Eternal City is being offered by Gesu. We are offering an eight-day experience to the heart of Rome during the Holy Season of Christmas.
We will depart for Rome on December 30, 2010, and return on January 6, 2011. Our pilgrimage will include a New Year’s celebration at the Church of the Gesu on its Feast Day (the Mother Church of Gesu-Cleveland and the Jesuits). We will experience the wonder of ancient Rome and visit the churches of Rome, St. Peter’s Basilica, St. Paul outside the Walls, St. Mary’s Major, and St. John Lateran. We will also have an opportunity to visit the Vatican Museum, catacombs, and an audience with our Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI. An added bonus is visiting the rooms of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits, and the inspiration for the Spiritual Exercises.
The experience will prove to be exciting, joyful, and uplifting to our spirits. There will be plenty of opportunity to explore this ancient city and to celebrate the New Year in the company of parishioners, the citizens, and Jesuits of Rome.
Sincerely yours,
Fr. Lorn J. Snow, S.J., Pastor
