Concert Series

Gesu Music Ministry has sponsored a concert series beginning in 1999.  The purpose of this series is to provide the spiritual experience of great music to all people regardless of their religious traditions and beliefs.  All concerts are open to the public free of charge and followed by a reception where audience members may meet the performers and enjoy refreshments.  Most or the programs take place in the Marian Chapel where the acoustic and intimate seating provide a perfect environment for chamber groups.

Gesu Music Ministry Special Events.

Choral Concerts: Gesu ensembles combine normally once a year to present a concert of larger works. In the past we have performed the Mozart Mass in C Major and orchestra, the Bruckner Te Deum with guest soloists and
orchestra. We have also performed Gospel and contemporary compositions.

Pilgrimages: Gesu Choir along with the Schola from John Carroll University
sang at a Solemn High Mass at St. Peter's Basilica. This group gave a
concert at St. Ignatius Church in Rome. We have performed at a Papal Audience and sung for liturgy in Assisi. We were invited to the Salzburg Choral Festival to perform Mozart works with choirs from Europe and the US. Additionally we performed a concert in Bexbach, Germany.

Fundraising: Gesu Music Ministry sells Entertainment Books and CD's to
support our pilgrimages and concert orchestras. A large percentage of our
procedes is donated to the Interfaith Hospitality Network and the Montaña
